Special Bombay biryani

Quick and easy recipe:
Any occasion without biryani is totally incomplete whether it's a family dinner, a wedding or any other occasion. Different people likes different versions of biryani but one of the most liked and one of my favorite version is Bombay biryani. So, today i am sharing my own style of bombay biryani making which might be different from others.




Ingredients

 

  • Chicken or beef (1 kg

    small portions)

  • Rice, Seela (1 kg washed & soaked)
  • Onions (4 medium, finally sliced)
  • Tomatoes ( 5-6 medium,diced)
  • Garlic  (5 cloves )
  • Ginger (1 inch )
  • Yogurt, Plain ( 1 cup, whipped )
  • Cooking Oil (1 cup)
  • Coriander spice (2 teaspoons)
  • Green chillies (3)
  • Bombay Biryani Mix (1 packet)
  • Salt ( to taste)

  • Fry onions in hot oil until golden.
  •  Add tomatoes and fry until oil separates.
  • Add meat and cook for 5 minutes. 
  • Grind garlic,ginger, green chillies,corriander spice in a grinder and add to the meat.
  • Add yogurt, salt and Bombay Biryani Mix. Stir fry on low heat until  meat is cooked and leaves oil( add water in case of beef). Curry is ready.
  • Separately in boiling water, stir in soaked rice. Boil rice until ¾ cooked. Remove and drain thoroughly.
  • Spread half rice in pot and pour meat curry. Top with remaining rice. Cover pot and cook on low heat until rice is fully cooked. Mix before serving.
